While I started my time at Ruckus supporting carrier accounts, I moved into the hospitality team supporting hotel brands, partners, and advisors. A role I have held for two years. Ruckus Networks, now an Arris company, serves the needs of the hospitality industry around the world with a wide assortment of APs, controllers, analytics and Ethernet switching. My role here is to act as the primary point-of-contact for all matters that relate to technical pre-sales activities, training, support, and design.

Charged with pre-sales technical activities for North America supporting corporate, public safety, government, public utilities and Tier 1 cellular carriers. The Smart Grid landscape is evolving at a rapid pace and requires a multidisciplinary set of skills just to keep up. RF, IP, security, mechanical and environmental disciplines. In my short time at S&C I contributed to the product management and product integration groups, pre-sales and field engineering.

Application engineer responsible for pre-sale, post-sale support and radio network engineering of unlicensed and WiMAX wireless broadband projects in the US and Canada. I am also responsible for a broad range of corporate training activities related to our product line, technical support, network design and troubleshooting. TCP/IP, WiMAX 802.16d and 802.16e, VoIP and microwave engineering. Actively working in the broadband wireless industry since 2000 with WISPs, smart power grid projects, municipalities and government customers.

Was responsible for broadband wireless network design and implementation. I also was responsible for network equipment procurement, project management, budget management, tower construction, troubleshooting and maintenance of wireless networks for a multitude of clients though out the United States. Designed DC power systems for multi-point and point-to-point backhaul networks. Managed construction crews and tower crews on large projects. Was responsible for point-to-point microwave engineering and FCC licensing efforts as well.

Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of a wireless broadband IP network. Lead project manager responsible for the selection and management of subcontractors. Direct responsibility of network operations and customer support. Also had oversight of day-to-day operations and maintenance. Managed highly effective service and installation teams within multiple markets. Primarily responsible hardware assessment, testing and procurement. Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of a wireless broadband IP network. Lead designer responsible for the creation of bid specification documents, product specification, low-voltage system design, and installation of integrated systems, troubleshooting, and project management. Designed and managed the installation of a 200-bed hospital television system, on time and under budget. The system created a profit center for the facility and saved 20 thousand dollars in annual maintenance costs. It has also greatly impacted the level of patient satisfaction.

Was responsible for graphic design, multimedia creation, video editing, surgical and pathology photography for a large community teaching hospital. Worked directly with physicians, surgeons, house staff and executive management to create educational material, branding campaigns and in-house printed collateral. Was also responsible for coordinating and producing live tele-medicine conferences.
