Hola! I'm Ro (Ronald) Rivera, a 33 y/o with 5+ years of experience as illustrator, from Guayaquil, Ecuador. I blend the influences of retro cartoons and traditional cross-hatching with a mix of nature and urban subjects. Growing up between the rich bohemian side of Guayaquil and my family's indigenous roots, I nurtured a passion for literature, storytelling, and drawing. This vibrant mix of cultures fueled my creativity, driving me to express ideas in unique and unconventional ways.After getting my bachelors in Marketing, the folkloric and ancestral art I grew up with resonated deeply within me, leading me to find my path in the art world. After living and breathing the great multiculturism of Ecuador, my artistic journey brought me to Montreal, where I immersed myself in 3D design, traditional art, illustration, and tattooing. Simultaneously, I have worked in different customer services related areas, where team work, empathy, critical thinking and effective communication are crucial for a immersive and pleasant customer experience.Now, through my art, and my first published book, I seek to express my voice and amplify those who may not have access to the tools of creative expression. Art, like love, is a universal language, and together, we can reflect the diverse realities that our eyes perceive.
