My academic training has been in the field of architecture and urban design from four different countries: India, USA, the Netherlands and Italy.My professional practice comprises effective implementation of architecture, interior and landscape works of different scales and typologies. Works include hotel renovations, office space renewals, education institutes, hospitals and numerous custom homes throughout the Pune region, India. Academic: My interests include design based research methodologies and investigation into urban processes, and study topics like contextual dynamics, bottom-up approaches and methods in participatory processes for urban development and local identities. In the coming years I would like to explore the discipline of urban design and focus mainly on creating socially inclusive & healthy neighborhoods, climate-resilient planning strategies mainly in the domain of Urban Fringe Areas.
