Evolution of the Resilience Framework: In 2014 I was fortunate to have been welcomed into Barrio Promesa, a neighborhood of Phoenix, Arizona, to complete research toward the doctorate which coalesced the Civil Resilience Framework. This first iteration weaves community-school partnerships, public-private-nonprofit network governance, and servant leadership in a critique of policy implementation envisioning inclusive and sustainable institutions. The model has evolved into the Resilience Framework applied as action research in various settings: individual development, professional learning circles, community, and organizational system development. True to the neighborhood of its birth, the Resilience Framework inspires individuals, groups, and organizations in building capacity for more sustainable democratic institutions.
