Rest Essence Ayilara, an award-winning SDGs advocate with a particular emphasis on health and education. As a UN SDSN Advocate, I am committed to driving sustainable development, with a strong focus on SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. My experience spans organizing and leading impactful initiatives that empower individuals and communities.I am the cofounder of MEDWAKA. We aim to reduce the moralities due to medical emergencies in Nigeria significantly by providing a platform that allows for easy reporting and connecting of victims in medical emergencies to help. With MEDWAKA, victims can be guaranteed of a platform that is fast, safe and affordable.During my journey, I have conducted interactive presentations on the SDGs, specifically SDG 3, for students, encouraging them to become active voices for their generation. I have also organized workshops and creative challenges that inspire students to express their understanding of the SDGs through art, fostering a sense of responsibility towards achieving these global goals.One of my many significant projects is the SDGs Advocacy Webinar, which I organize by identifying and engaging industry experts and external facilitators, particularly in women's health and breast cancer awareness. This event successfully brings together multiple participants from diverse backgrounds, providing a platform for learning, sharing, and networking. The project highlights the importance of collaboration and stakeholder engagement in driving SDG advocacy.In addition to these initiatives, I have been recognized with several awards, including a Certificate of Excellence as an SDGs Advocate, Oyo State's Best 10 in Chemistry, and leading MEDWAKA to be recognized as a Top 10 startup in the FishBowl Challenge and Top Startups in Hackaholics.My work is driven by a passion for creating a sustainable and equitable future, empowering individuals, especially students, to become advocates for positive change in their communities.Making the world a better place one step at a time🌍
