Their pitch to us was that, the market for shipping by truck is inefficient. It costs manufacturers, and other shippers, too much to ship their freight, if you look at how much trickles down to those who actually move that freight, the carrier business. Phase one started with the founders' idea, and ended with the detailed problem specificationPhase two built the marketplace service design organization, which produced a marketplace prototype, ready for testing with future customers. Phase three took the prototype and market feedback, and added, to the product organization, the analytic organization, to ensure continuous absorption of customer feedback and roadmap design and planning, and the technology organization, to build and permanently improve the product and its technology infrastructure.Today, Vibe has some 25 people on this project, covering analysis, design, technology, and quality assurance. The rest of the organization, distributed across the US, covers business leadership, marketing and sales, daily operations, and customer support. The venture is going through a successful round A, showing revenue growth, and expects major marketing and sales push through 2018.
