Rachel Sterling, cofounder of Alternew, is an innovation development expert and trained engineer. Starting her career as a strategy consultant at Accenture, she designed clients' innovation roadmaps and setup their first advanced data science and AI programs for customer segmentation and marketing strategies. She earned her MBA at SDA Bocconi, specialized in luxury business management, and joined Valentino to integrate data analytics into the CRM and retail strategy to drive sales across all 50 European boutiques. She was then part of the founding team to build Bulgari's Innovation Hub, partnering with LVMH's accelerator to launch new consumer services and retail innovations. Most recently, she led the data engineering and analytics team at a Series B startup pairing mom and pop housekeeping companies with national property management companies, supporting its growth to 17 markets and 1 million apartments before cofounding Alternew.Rachel is passionate about applying her skills in innovation, engineering and business strategy to accelerate the fashion industries transition to the circular economy. As the cofounder of Alternew she is creating the operating system for fashion brands to offer circular consumer services easily, starting with alterations and repairs.Rachel is also a dedicated community builder uniting FashionTech innovators and funders of NYC to grow this category of the tech ecosystem and support greater innovation in the fashion industry at large.
