I have always been incessantly curious. I began my career as a practicing Adult and Child Psychiatrist with many years of experience in the outpatient, inpatient, and school based psychiatric care settings. In my practice, I have always felt that the traditional psychiatry approach was somewhat incomplete in fully addressing the why of the cause of our patients’ suffering. This led me to complete a functional nutrition in psychiatry fellowship, to study cohesion/connection building, and to explore group wellness through the exponential organization and polyvagal theory lens. I am also very experienced in understanding trauma-focused supports and the cellular impact of toxic stress. My guiding vision came to be distilled into several categories of input for wellness:-Improving Connection/Cohesion-Optimizing Nutritional Inputs-Minimizing Whole Busters-Maximizing and Clarifying PurposeI am firm believer that when we optimize these inputs for patients, families, and organizations the outputs lead us to the wellness and productivity that we so much desire.
