In November 2012 I was appointed as Maintenance Manager for Process Coordination. I am responsible for the following but not limited to: Development and implementation of maintenance strategies, Risk Based Inspections on statutory equipment, Ensuring plant integrity, availability and safety, Management of maintenance renewal projects, Budget and cost control, Coordination of activities between maintenance and production teams, Engineering Service Providers/Consultants management, Personnel safety with compliance to OSH Act, Implementation of MOC’s (management of changes).

Sasolburg

In October 2000, I was employed permanently by Sasol Site Services as a junior technician. My responsibility was to implement plant modifications and small projects; implement maintenance strategy to improve plant availability; do fault findings on mechanical equipment.From July 2001 until October 2012 I worked for different plants i.e. Sasol Wax, Carbo-Tar, Steam Station 3, Sascon (Silog), Water and Waste, Infragas (ATR and Rectisol plants) and Process Coordination Sasol 1. I was responsible for implementation of plant modifications through Management of Change; Project Management (projects planning and execution); liaison with suppliers on quality related problems and new technology; Technical assistance to commercial department; Ensuring legal compliance with OHS Act; Ensuring compliance with engineering standards and procedures. These included but not limited to:• Conducting feasibility studies around the projects• Coordinating engineering and design phases of the projects and ensuring that minimum requirements of Engineering standards are met.• Arrange and/or facilitate hazop study and PDA for the projects.• Assist Procurement Department with Request for Quotations• Assist Contracts Department with the BID clarification and contract award.• Execute the projects and ensure that projects are done within schedule and budget.• Ensure that Safety procedures are followed during the execution of projects• Commission and handover the plant and/or equipment to the client.
