It wasn't until 2000, when my mother-in-law was diagnosed with ALS and we spent two difficult years care giving long distance while still trying to manage a young family.It was hot summer day back in 1983 mowing my neighbors lawn when the idea to help seniors, remain in their homes for as long as possible, with a range of services was presented to me. My mentor described needing care on day and then probably continued care for his beloved bride about 30 years later and how successful I could be if I figured all this out. Never would I have imagined that we would end up caring for his wife for close to 2 years exactly as he planned.RetireEASE was started in 2003 to accomplish the mission of helping seniors thrive and families to never experience the disappointment of finding their own mother neglected in their most vulnerable days.
