As an Advocacy Officer at Tearfund, I lead the Lobby, Advocacy and Communications Working Group, a consortium of four international NGOs working on humanitarian and development issues in Nigeria. I also chair the Staff Council and serve as a member of the Senior Management Team, contributing to the strategic direction and impact of the organization.In addition, I am a Legal Counsel and Partner at AR Sabo & Associates, a law firm that provides legal and tax consultancy services to clients across various sectors. I have extensive experience in corporate law, intellectual property, strategic planning, and dispute resolution. I am also a Master of Laws candidate at the University of East London, specializing in international human rights law and humanitarian action.I have a strong passion for governance, rule of law, policy, advocacy, and communications, and I have developed skills in research, analysis, mediation, negotiation, project management, and capacity strengthening. I have worked on multiple projects and grants, focusing on housing, land and property rights, information, counseling and legal assistance, protection, advocacy, human rights, and rule of law. I have also supported multisectoral interventions in food security, education, WASH, shelter, and CCCM. I am fluent in Hausa and English, and I have completed several certifications in hostile environment survival, sexual exploitation prevention, humanitarian negotiations, advocacy and communications, project management, human resource management, building a better response, integrated policy development & approaches and humanitarian pathways. I am motivated by the Sustainable Development Goals and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of people affected by conflict and displacement.
