Communicate daily production status against targets via daily meeting on OEE, downtime, first time through, finished goods levels, part shortages, labour shortages and safety issues.Daily review of labor planning and utilization to ensure required outputs are achievable with in allocated budgets.Recommend and plan for overtime if required.Ensure all products are supplied in full and on time and escalate any possible delivery delays to Product Supervisors, Liaise with engineering, quality, MP&L and maintenance on any current product and process issues that arise.Facilitate and encourage continuous improvement initiatives which are in line with Lean Manufacturing principles.Ensure standardized production procedures are followed using OHS&E standards to drive behavior that encourages all employees to operate in a safe work environment.Champion plant wide safety awareness and ensure safety, rules, procedures and process are sustained.

Daily Responsibilities: Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and reports to evaluate and determine current production requirements and outputs. Achieve base-line departmental targets, goals and objectives by enforcing process safety, work standardization and sanitation standards. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Provide leadership in multiple projects from concept to completion as it relates to coordinating departmental safety activities, process quality, productivity, and cost management. Conduct job analysis for process and overtime reduction. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or equipment malfunctions. Observe employee work, monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards. Conduct employee versatility cross training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures. Interpret specifications, product manifest, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers. Sustain accurate and timely records on employee safety, attendance, hours worked, behavior and work performance.
