Research assistant for a faculty advisor who shared his expertise in land use planning and community development. In support of his role serving as chair of a local planning and zoning board, together we created several full chapter updates to the City of West Branch comprehensive plan and a planned unit development (PUD) ordinance in partnership with the City and key stakeholders. Developed a downtown strategic plan for Webster City in collaboration with four fellow graduate students, the Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities, and the City of Webster City.
