At Masten, I prepared and selectively built-up a technical arm from an initial size of 5 to a team of over 115 disciplined engineers and technicians. I served as the technical compass for realizing the strategic corporate vision of reusable launch and lunar technologies for Masten by selecting and managing an aggregate portfolio of projects with assets exceeding $109 million. I had the primary duty as the Manager of Composite Operations at XCOR Aerospace leading the early manufacturing developments of XCOR’s LYNX manned sub-orbital vehicle and their R&D composite development centers.I served as the Technical Integration Lead of the ATK/XCOR 7500lbf LOX/Methane workhorse and heatsink engines. This provided the opportunity to design and implement a non-traditional high frequency sensor characterization as a part of a chamber instability test. http://exrocketry.net/mailman/private/arocket/2012-January/009454.htmlIn addition, I was Crew Chief of the prototype Rocket Racer (X-Racer) over it's entire flight test program of 47 flights. The X-Racer was a pump fed LOX Kerosene 1500 lb thrust HTHL rocket vehicle. The X-Racer set several records including the most accumulated flights and fastest turn around, 8 flights in one day, of a manned rocket vehicle.

Lead the shop in the fabrication, assembly, and repair of aerospace related composite articles constructed with fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar using either hand lay-up and prepreg techniques and methods.Manufactured FAA-PMA STOL kits for Cessna 100 and 200 series aircraft. Performed/supervised installation of kits prepared and submitted 337s to FAA. Maintained QA logs and Shop Tracker.

I was a Crew Chief and a Project Lead at Scaled Composites, where I worked on the X-38 Space Station Lifeboat and was also involved with numerous other vehicles, e.g. (UAVs), Proteus, Rotary Rocket's 'Roton', Williams V-Jet, Visionaire Vantage, Boomerang, Pegasus(OSC), and Kistler Programs.Provided component fabrication, airframe assembly and system integration of unique manned and unmanned aircraft. Responsible for maintaining an airworthy aircraft by coordinating and/or performing internal and external preflight, post flight and preventive maintenance efforts, as well as troubleshooting discrepancies.
