I am a people person. I love working on and seeing relationships grow. That is the crux of the story of how a Mechanical Engineer came to be in Sales. I graduated from Federal Institute of Technology, India, with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (First Class) in 2020. I joined Maple Medical, Dubai, as a Technical Sales Engineer. I learnt that Sales is not about just selling the product. Its about building relationships, understanding what the client needs, how your product can help them improve their business, and convincing them of the same. After a year, I am now working as a Key Account Engineer at Dutco Tennant in their Utilities Department where I work with the government entities in Dubai for providing solutions for their requirements, tender submissions, pre-qualification of products, technical support in inspection and maintenance, and delivery of orders. Throughout my degree and my career, my experiences made me realize I wanted to make Project Management my niche. I enjoy working on and watching projects grow through their life cycle. Every project is an opportunity for me to learn something new. I gained skills like technical documentation, cost estimation, data and material procurement, while also being able to grow in my sales & marketing skills. Armed with my skill set from my career in Sales, I intend to move into Project Management. I aim to work on projects that can help me expand my skill sets to grow into a leading-edge individual who can make significant contributions to my organization. “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” indeed. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and seeking out obscure locations for photography. I also enjoy the other end of the spectrum where I curl up with a good book to lose myself in fiction. I’m an avid foodie and will absolutely accompany you to explore any cuisine to appreciate the explosion of flavors on the palate.Well, this is who I am in a nutshell.
