I led TRI's automated driving division, and was the catalyst for the launch of the division as a core member of the founding leadership team that launched TRI in 2016. I built and led a team that included 220 staff (170 FTE / 50 contractors). Additionally, I served on the TRI Officers Committee as a voting member. I consistently exhibited high leadership standards and a personal commitment to developing a team with the same dedication to excellence. I was responsible for planning, managing, and allocating a nine-figure annual budget. Also, I managed relationships with and delivered project concept, planning, and funding presentations to counterparts and key decision-makers in Japan.Additional examples of my strengths and accomplishments in this role include:• I led the design and setup of the Ann Arbor TRI office and recruited / hired a 220-member multisite team from the ground up.• I conceived, implemented, and oversaw all of TRI's L4 public-road automated driving program.• I led the design and development of the Toyota Guardian & Chauffeur SAE Level-4 technology stack.• I led planning and construction efforts for the Toyota Ottawa Lake automated driving test facility.• I spearheaded initiation of the Catalyst team charged with embedding with the Japan team in Tokyo to form a global automated driving development organization.• I forged strong partnerships and alliances at all levels across the Toyota ecosystem to build mindshare and advance the ongoing adoption, success, and value realization of development work.
