I lead a small team of developers that maintains 16 ASP.net Web Applications. In under 2 years, my team has implemented an iterative development process that continues to get better each week. We have formalized change planning procedures, code reviews, and acceptance testing. In the last 6 months we have transitioned from Team Foundation Version Control to git. Additionally, we have begun an iterative security auditing process that is still in its early stages and showing promise. We are the most trusted development team in the organization, and other teams are often told to refer to us when they run into troubles adopting new technology or processes.

As a Programmer Analyst IV, I was responsible for the development and maintenance of ASP.net Web Forms applications, as well as mentoring junior developers and participating in the hiring process. My input on key technology decisions was seen as vital for my team and the organization. I used this position of trust to advocate for the use of nuget to simplify our use of shared libraries across projects. Additionally, I strongly advocated for the adoption of Automated Testing and Continuous Integration, as well as more frequent releases and tighter feedback cycles with end users.
