I am deeply passionate about the renewal of the church, with a particular interest in fostering communities where love of God and love of neighbour are intertwined. I feel a strong calling to serve historic urban congregations that are rediscovering their purpose and learning to exist for the sake of others.I believe the gospel brings transformation wherever it goes - from our workplaces and neighbourhoods to the ends of the earth. I am excited about the potential of witnessing the work of the gospel in diverse communities and exploring what it means in different contexts. While this work of renewal is often challenging it is a vital part of the work I deeply care about.In my ministry, I utilize thoughtful preaching that calls us toward God’s coming kingdom and the ministry of faithful presence to those who call the church home. I believe in the power of friendship as a ministry, following Jesus’ example of calling those he teaches and leads “friends”. This approach is instrumental in understanding the way of Jesus and seeing its effects in the lives of all people in the church.
