“To Discover, Develop, and Deploy fruitful leaders, both lay and clergy, to accomplish the mission making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”• Directly responsible for the formation of the Leadership Development department in the Indiana Conference (inception July 2014)• Maintains oversight and direct management of the Leadership Development department’s strategic plan, development and implementation of initiatives, • Prepares and monitored the annual department budget, along with the allocation of financial resources• Serves in collaboration with Indiana Conference’s 10 District Superintendents and the Board of Ordained Ministry to develop a culture of lifelong leadership fruitfulness for clergy at every stage of ministry• Partners with the Board of Laity to develop pathways for fruitfulness in non-clergy leadership with the creation of leadership recruitment and retention resources• Cultivates a culture of call, with the acknowledgment that all are called to serve, both lay and clergy, with the annual observance of Encourage the Call Sunday throughout the Indiana Conference• Developed and implemented a clergy assessment tool to create conversation of how to improve clergy effectiveness in the Indiana Conference• Consistently seeks opportunities to partner with entities and institutions beyond the local church to increase knowledge, awareness, and maintain relevance regarding leadership development resources and programs• Serves as a member of the Indiana Conference’s Executive Leadership Team and the Extended Cabinet

“Developing principled Christian leaders for the Church and world” is the primary focus of the Center for Leadership Development (CLD). To accomplish this focus, the mission is the recruit and develop new leaders, both lay and clergy, who are empowered to accomplish the greater mission of The United Methodist Church of “making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”• Served as direct leadership contact and supervisor for Faith Formation programs and activities, which included: Children, Youth, Young Adults, Campus Ministry, and Bridgeport Camp programming• Maintained oversight and direct management of NTC Comprehensive Campus Ministry Plan• Served as direct leadership contact that worked with teams to vision, implement, and assess Fruitfulness, which included: Clergy Fruitfulness Initiative, Mentoring and Coaching, and Healthy Church Initiative (peer learning groups)• Direct leadership contact that collaborated with organizations to create programs that reached beyond the local church in the form of Covenant Partnerships, which included: Training for Excellence, Lydia Patterson Summer Intern Program• Managed multiple projects from analysis through implementation (MinistrySafe, Marks of Fruitfulness, etc.)• Conducted regular evaluation of adaptive leadership strategies, training resources and opportunities that were available to enrich and enhance lay and clergy, and suggested updates when necessary • Prepared and monitored the annual apportionment department budget of $1.3M per year• Organized opportunities that promoted a culture of call through serving on the Board of Ordained Ministry as the Chair of Recruitment and Enlistment• Worked efficiently, professionally and jointly with the staff, laity, and clergy of the North Texas Annual Conference, as well as others
