Graduate Teaching AssistantCarnegie Mellon University'S College Of Engineering Sep 2019 - Dec 2019Pittsburgh, Pa, UsServed as a TA for 18220 - Electronic Circuits and Devices during Fall 2019. As a TA, I helped peers in tutorials and get better grades in the courses. I assisted the Professors with assessment by evaluating quizzes and graded assignments, midterms and final exam. With other TAs, I assisted students in the Laboratory with circuit design experiments, clarifying concepts where essential. -
Summer Research InternYinzcam, Inc. May 2020 - Aug 2020Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, UsProject Supervisor: Dr. Priya Narasimhan- Led the Muscle Sensing team to work on the end-to-end EMG Data Analytics on the wearable to sense muscle activity and fatigue in Ice-Hockey Players and make recommendations that improve the posture, balance and prevent injury.- Created a real-time analytics system running on the cloud that could process the batches of streamed EMG data and display calculated parameters in real-time.- Optimized the data processing latency to less than 100ms to process the real-time stream of player data. - Made the code fault-tolerant by creating indexing and check-pointing which helps it get back to running in no time even after a crash.- Collaborated with the Hardware, System-Architecture and UI teams to work to integrate the data analytics and display the results on a Dashboard with incoming data streaming from the sensors worn by the players.- Hypothesized and validated muscle activation and muscle fatigue analysis to detect in real time player muscle effort and fatigue.Technical -
Part Time Research AssistantLaboratory For Computational Neuroscience, City University Of Hong Kong Nov 2018 - Mar 2019Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, HkAs a summer research assistant under Dr. Rosa Chan at the Laboratory for Computational Neuroscience, City University of Hong Kong, I am innovating and designing a non-invasive multiplexed sensory feedback system for prosthetic hands that could restore 60% of tactile and thermal sensations in amputees and sensory-deficit diabetic patients. On doing some literature review, I formulated the problem- "The need for sensory embodiment" in amputees and diabetic patients. With the help of a PhD student, we designed a feedback mechanism to restore the senses of touch (pressure, temperature) and proprioception through the upper limb prosthetics in amputees using electro-vibrotactile feedback.Technical -
Student InternPccw Solutions Limited Feb 2018 - Aug 2018Hong Kong, HkDuring the internship, I had led a team of 4 interns to optimize operational and warehouse management processes of the company under the supervision of Logistics Team and the Engineering Team.As a team, we optimized warehouse management operational process 40% by revamping the existing stock issue out function while ensuring compliance with existing company policies. We created a novel and smart mobile application system with a functional Barcode scanner to automate the issue out process of stock from the warehouse, hence cutting down the manual update and retrieval processes. We also designed a warehouse automation bot to augment the efficiency of manual stock update by 30%. The robot was a line following robot which moved around the warehouse, procuring information about the stock available using RFID sensors and automatically updating the database with the quantity of the stock available in the warehouse. Electronic Design InternAir Button Technology Limited Jan 2018 - May 2018Hong Kong, HkAs a design intern in Air Button, I designed and developed a novel dual-input USB/wireless charger with an efficiency of 70% to charge 2A batteries, with the help of another intern. The project mainly focused on designing a wireless receiver based on the Qi Standard in order to charge 2A batteries that are be used in cameras. The dual input feature demanded for power management between the two modes of operation, which was solved by using a suitable chip configuration of the IC used for the wireless receiver. We successfully prototyped and tested the dual input charger which could be used to charge a AA rechargeable battery with an efficiency of 70%.Technical -

Overseas Summer Research InternCttc Jun 2017 - Aug 2017Castelldefels, Barcelona, EsI had interned as a research assistant in CTTC, working on "Futuristic 5G" technology. I successfully ported an existing software from C in DSP to C++ using GNU Radio modules. I had accomplished source code review and created new modules for a software transmitter in C++, working in a Linux Environment, MATLAB and Python. Later I developed and tested modules to implement a software transmitter that could be used for research in novel 5G applications cutting down hardware complexity for testing by 50%. Though I faced some challenges as the existing modules and code were outdated and I had to grasp new concepts in two weeks, I quickly learnt the concepts, drew draft code models and went through intense debugging sessions to get my code to work. Despite the fact that the first module took weeks to complete, I got the hang of the technique the implemented the remaining modules earlier than intended. On completion, I was awarded a merit certificate for outstanding work carried out during the internship period.Technical -
Software Development InternOffice Of The Cio, City University Of Hong Kong Jun 2016 - Jul 2017During this internship which started as a summer internship at the CityU IT Team, I had collaborated with a team of 6 interns from computing, marketing and creative media backgrounds. As I was getting to know the new software, I completed the compatibility testing of the new platform Fuse for hybrid mobile applications. Once positive results were obtained on the compatibility testing, we moved on to revamp an existing version of the mobile application 'CityU Minerals' on Fuse for use of the staff from the Materials Science department. Then, we deployed a new version of 'CityU Mobile' using Fuse from scratch, for the use of 70% of freshmen students at City University of Hong Kong to access features like weekly schedule, library, food options around campus, campus virtual map, and others. I had faced challenges initially getting used to the new platform, but quickly overcame them by deploying small scale applications which also served the purpose of compatibility testing. Technical
