DIVERSITY TRAINING INSTITUTES FOR LEADERS...Preparing Our World for What Comes Next!The first 50 years of what was called the Civil Rights Movement addressed the morality of equality... In the "next 50 years" it is important to see the intelligence of, and begin to actively live, "functional diversity" -- making "inclusion" a deliberate strategy for building and sustaining a better future.When you and I come in contact with people that are “different” from us, those whose personal values are not like our own, or who have contrasting cultural perspectives and/or disparate life experiences, we must reject old patterns, clear the path to togetherness, and step out as leaders. To do this will require that we have a keen understanding –- and practical knowledge of –- how “difference” has negatively impacted group dynamics, the quality of our relationships, the achievement of harmony and trust and, most especially, the attainment of a higher well-being. THEN.. As institutions and as individuals, we will need "brilliant and inspiring tools" that support us to replace our obsolete ways of being and begin to build brand new ways of doing things... The "Next 50 Years Project for Racial Equity" provides such tools and expert partners for this endeavor!

The Association of Transformational Leaders (ATL) Southern California is a forum for individuals of significant influence in artistic, academic, social, political, corporate and humanitarian endeavors, devoted to doing "transformational" work in their respective fields.Our purpose is to join with like-minded people to initiate and sustain on-going dialogue and education that enhances our transformational leadership capabilities and support each other in serving humanity while creating a world that works for everyone; one world that is socially just, environmentally sustainable, and spiritually fulfilling.By attending ATL events, transformational leaders interested in up-leveling their work have an opportunity to stay engaged with high-level information and processes while networking with other leaders who have made significant contributions in the world. ATL is open to high-functioning individuals that have been identified by their peers as having a history of facilitating transformation in their fields and invited by a current member. Dr. Aliah joined Generation Ready in 2017 as their first Trauma-Informed Schools Specialist and Master Trainer and Facilitator in the area of Restorative Justice. As the author of the “Secret Language of Equity™” as well as a longtime proponent of emotional intelligence, cultural proficiency and grief recovery, she is sought after as an expert in the field of trauma-sensitive practices. Dr. Aliah is also brings a wealth of experience in Youth Development and is known as a thought leader. As a consultant, Dr. Aliah works to inspire, anchor and build the capacity of Administrators, Teachers, Counselors and even students to create a trauma-sensitive school environment. One of Dr. Aliah’s greatest contributions is her firsthand knowledge of how to heal and move forward after loss. Her only child committed suicide in 1994. Dr. Aliah is also big on innovation, and guides visions of new possibilities with her gift for developing the steps for practical implementation. Dr. Aliah provides social-emotional learning and “restorative practices” school-based support to help redirect troubled youth, and she delivers experiential professional development sessions to teachers.
