Public Speaker around the need of “reclaiming the great commission,” healing of shame, prayer and forgiveness. When I read the quote by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr: “We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. Have regular scholarships to those seeking to become certified teachers that have been living within a system of welfare and wishes to move to work.Help communities that are disenfranchised and don’t have the same access to healthcare, counseling and other resources, such as physical therapy.Offer yoga classes for all people that are donation based that address an array of social and economic issues on different nights:i.e. Classes specifically for individuals impacted by addiction and recovery, rape, incest, eating dis-ease (whether it’s disorder or lack of food - this will be a health night where we cook), those struggling with HIV/AIDS and other class specifics as needed within the community we serve.Address the dietary issues within low income neighborhoods through healthy eating alternatives, community gardening, kitchen that serves food on the weekends and cooking classes. Hopefully this will begin to call our communities to action to prevent and decrease obesity.This is important with the connection to Y4AGH because it addresses the person holistically - low income areas have fewer supermarkets, stock fewer healthy items, cost of fresh foods is often prohibitive and public transportation is lacking
