• Entertain guests by talking at key times during events and parties while beat-mixing any of the following genres of music: Bachata, Contemporary Christian, Country, Disco, Funk, Go-Go, Gospel, Hip Hop, House Music, R&B, Pop, Reggae, Rock, Techno, Top 40, Old School and New School • Stay abreast of current trends and genres of music for various types of events• Selects appropriate songs for each segment of the event and transition smoothly from one style of music to another• Beat mix songs and play genres of music according to guests and/or crowd along with particular atmosphere of the venue• Interacts and communicate with guests • Provide world class music as DJ per event utilizing choice of music which is custom programmed as suited for demographics, age groups, and season, in accordance with guidelines of client• Control sound levels in accordance with policies and procedures of venue or client • Act as emcee of each event in accordance with needs of venue or client• Communicate with Wedding Coordinators, Event Planners, Restaurant Managers, Supervisors or other designated personnel to ensure each event is successful• Possess exemplary knowledge of music genres, styles, trends and hits• Possess advanced BPM mix matching ability and song-mixing knowledge• Possess advanced knowledge and experience working with entertainment equipment including but not limited to the following: Disc Jockey controllers, mixer boards, decibel meters, clickers, remotes, switchers, passive and active speakers, projectors, lighting, fog machines, microphone systemsNIGHTCLUBS & VENUES:• The Ritz Nightclub – Resident DJ• The Classics Nightclub – Resident DJ• Atrium @ Treetops – Resident DJ• Triple Nines Bar & Billiards• Martin’s CrosswindsCLIENTS:• K&G Superstores• La Fontaine Bleue• Southern Management• Bible Way Temple Church• Mount Morah Baptist Church• Mount Ennon Baptist Church• Christ Kingdom Church• Reid Temple AME Church• Councilmember Karen Toles
