About Rev. Maurice L. Butler, Mba, Mdiv

Please know that my life and work experiences have allowed me to become a unique practitioner and professional who is concerned about a number of societal issues that prevent persons from living a wholesome quality of life here in the United States. Having been blessed to achieve academic credentials coupled with marketable skills that provide many of us with at least a fighting chance to succeed, I therefore believe it is a requirement to reach back to ensure others are afforded these opportunities as well. After spending years in the corporate world working in the field of telecommunications and information technology practicing in technical, operational, marketing and leadership roles, I have willing accepted the call into the field of theology and divinity to also use these gifts to the Glory of God in building His Church! God has prepared me well to share my collective gifts, talents and blessings with others as a leader who appreciates having every opportunity to succeed given my humble beginnings. My prayer is that those who follow and support me on this platform and believe they can benefit from the testimonies of my journey and experiences, will also be able to share with others as well the benefits and blessings the Master promises us all!

Rev. Maurice L. Butler, Mba, Mdiv Work Experience Details
  • Dx Tech Solutions Inc.
    President
Dx Tech Solutions Inc. Jan 2006 - Present
Prior to entering Pastoral Ministry the majority of my professional career was in the field of Information Technology, more specially telecommunications, data communications and computer networks. As an executive in the technology field I spent several years in marketing and operations. Although, I spend many years working in the operational and technical areas of business one of favorite areas of focus was in Product Management which required leveraging academic and technical skills to ensure programs and products were designed, priced, implemented and managed to client expectations. After spending many years in the corporate business community my desire has been to build a successful Social Enterprise that helps older disadvantaged youth and young adults develop marketable 21st Century skills that prepare them to compete in a global marketplace. Technology offers those that are committed an opportunity to develop many disciplines and skills that will equip them to pursue and compete for numerous job and career opportunities. The real key to helping young people succeed in the technology field is providing the right exposure for them to learn and master skills that will help them become productive practicing in any area they find excites them and infuses passion. As a Social Enterprise the goal is to not only find ways to fund the business operations, but to be able to position in a way that also allows our organization to create work and job opportunities for as many young people as possible who are program participants and those living in the larger community in general. DX TECH SOLUTIONS INC. is the new branded name for what was formally known as The E-House. We have expanded our territory!
  • Black Economics And Faith Magazine
    Founder And Publisher
Black Economics And Faith Magazine Jun 2016 - Present
This magazine is designed to be a platform for a host of diverse voices predominantly from the African American Community capturing the thoughts of persons representing many segments of our society who have stories to tell and a desire to enter into a conversation with multi-generational audiences about the things many of us don’t talk enough about in our community; the subject of Economics in the context of Faith. The concept of the magazine is to use the following definition of Economics as the foundation of our dialog: "the branch of knowledge concerned with the production, consumption, and transfer of wealth".As a Church and Community leader it troubles me that the subject of Economics in the context of Faith takes back seat to other more traditional subjects that focus on issues and matters that although important, too often dominate our thoughts and behaviors preventing many from accomplishing the success God desires for us as a people. In my own personal economic struggles and brokenness the question for me has been for a long while; how do we in the Black Community gain the necessary knowledge collectively to ensure more persons achieve economic success in a way that truly transform lives, prosper communities, bless families and allow us to become more productive contributors to the society at-large not as simply consumers of goods and services, but producers of wealth that can be transferred to future generations. Therefore, I am inviting friends (old and new), colleagues, family members and a host of prospective collaborators to join with me to support this new publication that is specifically designed to reach, speak to and empower members of the African American community and persons of color to bring about positive change and transformation in our communities and the neighborhoods where most live, work and or play. Please support this cause! Thank you.

Technology has always been a fascination for me. As a young person being introduced to telecommunications (telecom) by one of the best companies in the industry planted a seed that blossomed into a long and lasting desire to follow the evolution of telecom into data communications. I would not consider myself a techie, but a technology practitioner skilled technically and administratively with a broad understanding of multiple disciplines within the Information Technology spectrum. I teach in higher education both at an undergraduate and graduate level. Currently, I am teaching a core undergraduate course in Management Information Systems and am able to use my technology and business training to deliver lessons and lectures that I hope will inspire future technologist.
