I am a rising junior at Wesleyan University, where I double major in East Asian studies and Biology. I have been tutoring kids in math, English, and reading comprehension since 2018 part-time. Last summer I was serving as an SSRP undergraduate research intern at Rockefeller University, where I focused on Drosophila evolution. I have received the NJ Department of Education Biloteracy Seal for Mandarin Chinese, and I continue to study Chinese in college. I also have experience with Matlab, scientific research, and lab work, particularly PCR, dilution plating, and gel electrophoresis. I also won the 2022 NCTE-CBL Celebrating Black Writers National Contest, taking the 2nd place prize in fall 2022, and completed the 2022 NJ Cybersecurity Internship the preceding summer. I am collaborative, hard-working, and flexible as both a student and a worker.
