In the 4 years I worked for Leon, through the hundreds of live shows and the countless hours in the studio I never tired of hearing him play piano. He is truly a gifted musician and an incredible talent. It's wonderful to see the recent resurgence in his career with the help of Elton John.

This studio was overlooking a stream on the top of a mountain in the Poconos, 5 miles from Milford, PA. It was built & owned by Ed Labunski, a former client & close friend of mine from Woodland Studios. Ed was the Jingle King of the 70's. He wrote, produced & preformed on many noteable spots for clients like Budwizer, Chevy, McDonalds, Goodyear etc..We won 18 Clios during that peroid. Ed formed an 8 piece Country Rock band named SOUTH that lived & recorded at the studio complex. We finished one album on the band but Ed died in a car accident before it could be released.

Woodland was a large independent state of the art recording & disc mastering facility. It was very instrumental in putting Nashville on the map as one of the major recording centers in the world. Being an independent recording studio we were able to work with artists from many different record labels in nearly every genre of music. I have Gold albums & other industry awards from the Woodland days.

Fresh out of college & new to Nashville, I borrowed some money from a cousin and with a local musician as a partner we bought a small 3 track studio on Music Row. We made some great sounding recordings in that studio. It was all Ampex tube equipment & an RCA 77 ribbon mic for vocals.
