After moving to Australia I had an idea to build a GPS tracking product specifically for the Trades and Service industry. I found a suitable partner (simPRO software) and built this product from scratch. Our aim was to build a more user friendly product that could produce real business gains.After 2 years we had 7 staff and customers all over the World. We were moving into other verticals and were seeing huge growth. Our product had been moulded into a very competitive GPS product.In November 2013 I sold my shares in simTRAC Australia to my business partner simPRO Group Holdings. I was very happy to have built this company from a small capital investment into a multi million dollar company.

Working with Steve Bowden and the team at Navman Wireless was a fantastic experience. I was in charge of growing the partner channel throughout the Lower North Island and educating them on the product and marketplace.

During this period I fought under boxing and Muay Thai rules across Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. I won NZ, South pacific and World titles and fought in some of the toughest venues in the World. To win in fights in a country like Thailand you need to not only have killer competitiveness, but you also need to understand the key principles of goal setting. The mental toughness that you learn inside the four walls of a boxing ring gives you life long skills that you can apply to any business. My Father was a NZ professional champion boxer throughout the 60's and 70's and my brothers are both champion fighters also. We were taught from a young age that nothing beats hard work in the gym.
