Serve as the Head of Export controls for this wholly owned subsidiary of BAE. Developed comprehensive import/expiry control program for this supply chain company serving the defense industry. Responsible for compliance to US, UK, EU and KSAlaws and regulations.

Developed a world class international trade compliance program. Implemented Foreign Trade Zones and duty drawback programs. Developed EU bonded warehouses. Implemented classification and licensing programs.

Managed Trade Compliance issues (both import and export) for the Asia/Pacific region. Developed internal control plans, liased with U.S. sites in development of Technology Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements and export licenses. Responsible for ensuring import/export compliance under both U.S. law and local law. Established an ITAR assembly process in Indonesia through use of Export Processing Zones and Control Plans. Developed repair and overhaul facilities in China and India. Consulted with both U.S. and local government officials on international trade issues.Developed classification schemes that allowed the maintenance of part and component classification from the various manufacturing sites within a single database. Developed and implemented a classification training program for all relevant persons within the region.. Conducted audits and reviews of all regional sites and provided in-house expertise to answer and improve import/export processes.

Developed a global compliance program for this high-tech manufacturer of computer data systems. Developed classification schemes to standardize Harmonized Tariff classification amongst various international sites, including classifications within the Japanese HS and the EU HS. Participated in obtaining valuation requests from Japan Customs and Canada Revenue. Advised and responded to various government entities in international trade compliance audits, including a focused assessment conducted by U.S. Customs. Advised on various international valuation schemes.Developed and implemented an internal self filing program with U.S. Customs. Filed 3,500 entries per year.
