Direct the daily operations of Purchasing, Receiving, Shipping, and Distribution of supplies for over 5K active Clients and 10 Specialized Lab operations. Manage vendor relationships with supply and lab vendors ensuring business reviews are accomplished as required. This ensures PathGroup is obtaining the best pricing and our cost savings maximized. Monitor vendors through a scorecard system to ensure they are in compliance with established contracts/agreements and meet other minimum standards. Negotiates with vendors for pricing and volume discounts for new items added to inventory. Reviews procedures and engages appropriate staff members to maintain “Best Practice” procedures and efficiencies for inventory control. Provides all levels of management with analysis regarding purchasing, consumption, inventory, and replenishment for both client and lab supplies. Ensure proper and adequate inventory controls are in place to reduce misappropriation of inventory and to ensure expired inventory is disposed properly or returned to the vendor/manufacturer for credit/replacement. Responsible for the on-going functionality of the Purchase Order/Inventory system to ensure organizational effectiveness and improvements are made in coordination with corporate Finance. Provide leadership to the Materials Department and manage all aspects of employee performance for a Team of 7 employees. Remain familiar with and recommend changes to Corporate Compliance Programs as well as maintain knowledge for all Local, State, and Federal Regulations regarding safe handling of supplies and chemicals.

Directed Materials Management and hospital Commercial Account teams. The Materials Management team was responsible for corporate purchasing of over $750M annually for core drugs. The team also provided inventory control for $65M in average monthly inventory, shipping, and the purchase all ancillary supplies and oral/injectable drugs ($1.5M monthly) for multiple sites across the nation. The Commercial Accounts team managed multiple wholesale and consignment accounts across the nation and generated $125K per month in revenue. I was responsible for initial vendor negotiations for core drugs and ancillary supplies. I was also responsible for ensuring and maintaining positive vendor relationships and ensuring quarterly business reviews were accomplished to maximize cost savings.
