Master's thesis researcher in the Intelligent Robotics lab at Aalto University. My thesis explored the use of path planning algorithms and pedestrian simulators to generate realistic human trajectory data. This data was used to create maps of dynamics on which a Convolutional Neural Network was trained. The trained network was then used to predict a map of dynamics for an unseen environment. This method could be used to create people flow maps of novel, unseen environments to enable robots to make socially conscious navigation decisions.

In my role as a part time officer I created a custom map of every gender neutral toilet on campus, I passed a motion in the union's AGM, I helped to organise a "Pride Prom" event, I attended an LGBT Leaders conference in London, and I started to organise a support group for trans and non-binary students at Swansea University (interrupted by the pandemic). In this role I learnt valuable leadership and communication skills. I learnt how to work with other professionals to plan logistically complex events, and how to work on my own to achieve goals.
