I am 22+ years young in the ICT industry, playing diverse roles from systems engineer [that was how I started!] to IT operations head to cyber security lead; with enterprises of various scales and diversities, and taking responsibilities of driving operations, delivery and sales. I was instrumental in contributing to realize the top line numbers, through programs attaining operational efficiencies; and enhancing values and bringing smiles to my customers and keeping my people happy and pleased through well-deserved career progressions and personal happiness. A core highlight of the program was the practical implementation of Lean practices in all functional areas in different industries. Head of IT operations, Information Security and BCP/DR operations for Ness Technologies, India, Bangalore. Bangalore operations; an organization with an head count of 1500+ employees operating from 3 offices (2 under STPI and one a SEZ facility). Leading a team of 30+ IT support engineers and Security profesionals, supporting around 40 clients onshore and offshore, also providing internal IT infrastructure support, ISO27001 certification support [control implementations and surveillance audit],; and to host, maintain and support IT enabling applications. Client’ hosting environment were as diverse as to support the core ISV clientele, to develop, test, debug and certify their products. KPI’s include cost reduction through consolidation and technology enhancements like virtualization, co-location and relocation of servers and Cloud adoption; Compliance review of client contracts, vendor SLA’s, service renewal and price negotiations, software licensing compliance reviews, which includes different open source licensing standards; e-waste management and employing Reduce, Reuse and Recycle concepts. Information security related measures include, periodic penetration testing through third party vendors to secure the perimeters, vulnerability assessment of internal networks and applications using open source tools and security audit for critical servers and applications. Planning, implementing and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery solutions; and on-going monitoring of critical services and periodic reporting to the management on key performance metrics were also part of my deliverable. Service deliveries were based on ITIL framework and ISO 27001 standard. I played the role of Information Security Officer during the ISMS certification audits and during surveillance.

Company was the franchisee of Wipro Info-tech, pioneer franchisee from Kerala, and I was deployed as a resident engineer in Lakshadweep Islands; the smallest Union Territory in India, an archipelago consisting of 36 islands with an area of 32 sq km. I was stationed in the capital, Kavaratti and provided IT infrastructure support to the Government Administrative offices spread across 9 islands
