I have worked in education for the last 17 years as a teacher and coach. I currently possess a Masters of Science in Coaching and Exercise Science. My goal as a teacher and a coach is to be an effective leader. I believe that being an effective leader is based on building strong relationships, and I strive to make the journey as important if not more important than the end result.As an elementary teacher, I encounter students who exhibit a wide range of skills and abilities. I work hard to differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of all my students. I plan my lessons to include a variety of instructional techniques. I employ small groups to ensure that each student gets direct instruction from me as well. I encourage questions and use formative assessments to guide my instruction and ensure all students are engaged.I'm open to new opportunities that would make use of my experience and knowledge, and I'm willing to grow into a job. I don't have to fit in a neat box, I'm always open to learning!
