Architected and implemented a distributed system for routing messages to member firms across four clearing houses. This system handles millions of messages a day for multiple futures and derivatives products.Designed and built a Natural Gas Spot delivery and clearing system which maintains high availability through redundant nodes which coordinate via database locks. The system integrates with multiple unreliable external systems and yet maintains resilience against third party outages. It is crucial to maintain uptime for this system as it is responsible for delivery of natural gas delivery in UK and continental Europe.Worked closely with performance engineers and database developers to design and tune systems for performance while maintaining strong transactional integrity.
