Responsible for preflighting and preparing all incoming print and graphic design work using the Adobe Creative Suite to meet press requirements to ensure quality output.Clients would often require graphic design services to create a piece as needed. I’ve worked closely with many different clients to create postcards, brochures, flyers, posters, banners, and pocket folders.This role often requires a strong customer service and communication skill set due to the many customers and different needs that they may require. Not only to serve the customer appropriately, but to also ensure that our entire team is aware of the customer’s needs for that particular project.

As the sole graphic designer and prepress tech on-site, it was my duty to preflight and prepare all incoming print and graphic design work and to ensure that it conformed to the UNC Identity Branding. My duties for Xerox were largely the same as they were for UNC Printing Services since Xerox took over that department.

At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Printing Services, I worked closely with many clients and departments throughout the University in order to fulfill their needs. I’ve had a hand in creating a wide range of products including posters, brochures, postcards, reports, rack cards, illustrations, and table top graphics.I also assisted our prepress department to ensure client supplied files and artwork were ready for press and to make sure UNC Identity Branding was upheld.Various other duties while at UNC Printing Services included scanning, customer service, digital-to-plate making, and variable data using XMPie software.

Located in Research Triangle Park, I was the lead graphic design artist. In addition, I operated the ColorSpan DisplayMaker Series XII poster printer and Onyx PosterShop, used as it’s RIP software. I also operated the Agfa d-lab.3 Digital Photolab, Agfa DuoScan T2500 flatbed and film scanner, Agfa Al to digital film recorder with RasterPlus RIP software and the Agfa C-41 color film processor. I also met with clients to provide expertise in graphic design assistance and direction.

IA DigitalWorks was a division of Image Associates in the Research Triangle Park. I operated the ColorSpan DisplayMaker poster printer and it’s ColorMark RIP software. I also operated the Agfa DuoScan T1200 flatbed and film scanner, Agfa Alto digital film recorder with RasterPlus RIP software, Fuji Pictography 4000 and the Imacon Flextight Precision II scanner. Met with clients to provide expertise in graphic design assistance and direction.
