Managing 40-60 field construction employees. Orchestrated the recruiting and hiring process for the Richmond branch for various skilled trades such as Plumbers, Sheet Metal mechanics, Electricians, Form Carpenters, Rod Busters, Concrete Finishers, Combo Welders, and General Laborers. Assisted with recruiting and hiring for four of our sister offices when they were having issues locating employees. Led tool box talks and site safety evaluations to adhere to our national safety program standards. Managed the daily operations of the local branch (phone calls, mail, faxes, housekeeping, etc). Ordered and restocked the office and safety supplies for the branch. Issued and kept an inventory of PPE that we checked out to our employees such as full body harnesses.

Installed garage doors for new residential construction subdivisions such as CHI, Haas, Copay, and custom wood doors. Installed Lift Master, Marantec, Linear, and Chamberlain motors. Ran low voltage wiring to ensure wall station and laser eyes were working properly. Diagnosed the garage door or garage door opener and recommended repairs or replacement. Provided homeowners with repairs of garage doors and garage door openers.

West Rock Paper Mill Expansion Project (West Point, VA)Prepared all steel beam column bases for grouting (bushed with a chipping hammer, removed debris/ wire brushed and formed). Mixed dry packing grout, fluid grout, and epoxy grout according to ASTM standards. Poured, placed and dry packed grout into steel beam column bases. Finished grout or epoxy to desired texture. Poured mud mats to provide a base to do layouts. Laid down base plate (2x4) on the perimeter of the foundation. Put up Simon forms on the base plate. Braced with walers, kickers, turnbuckles and strong backers. Placed chamfer at the finished floor elevation that was provided. Poured the concrete. Vibrated, raked and screened the concrete. Bull floated and used the Fresno before finishing the concrete to the desired texture (broom or polished finish).

Dominion Energy Greensville County Power Plant Project (Emporia, VA)NCCER Certified Plus Journeyman​ Concrete FinisherPositioned grades for the concrete pour using surveyor provided elevation. Poured concrete while ensuring a proper vibrating pattern was followed to prevent honeycombs in concrete. Screeded, bull floated, and used fresno to prepare concrete for desired finish. Finished concrete according to desired finish (polished finish or broom finish). Applied curing compound. Prepared skids for Five Star DP and HP epoxy grout pours. Mixed epoxy grout according to ASTM guidelines. Poured and finished epoxy grout to achieve desired finish. Ensured that the epoxy grout was passing the third party quality control tests. Prepared grout forms for Five Star Fluid Grout 100. Mixed grout according to ASTM guidelines. Poured and finished grout to achieve desired finish. Ensured that the fluid grout was passing the third party quality control tests.Chipped and roughened concrete to prepare for patching of concrete. Cleaned area to be patched with wire brush. Applied bonding agent to concrete surface. Patched concrete with desired material to improve overall structural strengthApplied Injection Epoxy to structural cracks to prevent leaks from the containment area.
