About Griselis Reyes-Gil

I was a highly-successful classroom Teacher and Department Leader for almost 20 years and I taught both AP Capstone Seminar and AP Capstone Research since the program was piloted in 2014. Over the past decade, I have created a plethora of original AP Capstone resources to guide students through the courses and assessments. I have a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction, have been awarded numerous Innovator Grants by the Teacher Fund and presented at their Conferences, have scored Capstone content for College Board, and I'm a city-wide Teacher of the Year Award recipient. My students, with no prior experience in Advanced Placement, consistently scored well above global averages, and are utilized as high-scoring examples for College Board Teacher certification training. Additionally, I have served as a district-wide Professional Development facilitator supporting AP Capstone Teachers.I believe in the power of SEL in every classroom, including the rigorous Advanced Placement courses of the Capstone curriculum.
