-Design Manual J Loads for production homes and townhomes, by accessing Architect drawings and other information from builder. (Ryland, Newmark, David Weekley and various other Builders)-Inspect (Walk) homes to confirm equipment location and any variables that may affect layout and costs.-Design Duct Layouts for homes based on Manual J designs and builder requirements.-Generate Material List and Duct layout drawings for Install crews on a weekly basis.-Generate Energy Star Reports for Ryland and David Weekley. (Air balance sheets, Commissioning Checklist, Design Reports, Manual J’s, Manual D’s and Duct layout drawings)-Prepare City of Houston Permit Forms for required homes.

-Designed Parts and assemblies for Welders/Machinist/Fabricators on various projects (equipment for food, oil, medical, mechanical, wastewater). -Created Detail, Assembly and BOM 2D AutoCad drawings for production.-Designed structures platforms, stairs and modifications for small conveyors in 2D and 3D AutoCad. -Structures were of stainless steel and carbon steel construction.-Designed Hydraulic operated Ram for HPD Armored Vehicle.-Used Calipers, Micrometers and other measuring devices to reverse engineer and draw replacement machine parts for multiple projects.

-Work with Engineering/Sales on multiple product lines Pump Package, Valve and Frac trailer. -Created Pump Package P&ID’s and 2D Autocad Proposal drawings for sales in US and Internationally.-Coordinate with product engineers to establish and source vendor parts for projects sold. -Created 3D Unigraphics (NX6) Pump Package detail drawings for production (skid details, piping details and Bills of Material).-Develop under direction of Ball Valve R&D engineer new Ball Valve design based on sales forecast of customer needs and built parts for testing.-Created 3D Unigraphics (NX6) Raw, Prep for Weld, Weld-Inlay, Semi-Finish, Finish, Machine, Weldment and Assembly Drawings.-Created 2D AutoCad Manifold Proposals and Loose Ball Valve drawings for sales quotes of several thousand dollars to several hundred thousand dollars per sale.-Designed compact manifolds with FMC compact valve product line to offer superior savings in size and weight for TLP’s, FPSOs, Semi-Submersible and other Platforms compared to standard ANSI valves. -Generate Engineering Change Notifications for product release and maintenance in Teamcenter.-Worked in Teamcenter environment to generate Part Numbers, create Bills of Material, assigned Specs and Material.-Used FMC drafting standards for dimensioning based on ASME Y14.5 drafting and GD&T standards.-As a group Fluid Control was always profitable and a net contributor to FMC.

-Work with Engineering/Sales on new Shallow Water product line. -Created 3D Unigraphics (NX6) models, which were used to create models for display at Offshore Technology Conference.-Models based on FMC SubSea Trees with modified equipment for Shallow Water application (500ft or less, diver or ROV operated).-Converted models from Vendors and other international FMC divisions to create 3D model assemblies.-3D models were used to create animated “fly thru” sales video of various Shallow Water Tree options.-Created P&ID drawings in 2D Microstation for Engineering/Sales design proposals.-Created 3D Unigraphics (NX6) and 2D Microstation System Field Layouts for Sales Proposals.-Worked in Teamcenter environment to generate Part Numbers and create Bills of Material.-Used FMC drafting standards based on ASME Y14.5 drafting and GD&T standards.

-Work with Engineering and Manufacturing on New Fan Coil Product Line. -Built several units by hand using existing parts and some new fabricated parts for testing and evaluation, which were eventually added to product line.-Learned SolidEdge “on the fly”. -Created 3D SolidEdge Sheet metal Detail and Assembly Drawings.-Generated Bills of Material.

-Work with R&D engineers, Manufacturing engineers and sales on Pump and Compact Valve product lines. -Provided loose Ball Valve assembly drawings in 3D Unigraphics and 2D AutoCad for quotes and sales.-Created 3D Unigraphic models for proposed Pump changes for evaluation.-Generate Parts and Models for Test and Production.-Generate Engineering Change Notifications for product release and maintenance.-Worked in Teamcenter environment to generate Part Numbers, create Bills of Material and assign Specs and Materials.-As a group Fluid Control was always profitable and a net contributor to FMC.

-Created 2D Microstation Stack-Up and Sequence Drawings for Rig Books.-Created 2D Microstation Layouts for Design Review.-Created 2D Microstation and 3D Unigraphics Raw, Machine, Weldment and Assembly Drawings.-Worked in Iman/ Portal Environment to create Part Numbers and Bills of Material.-Worked with SAP to report projects and time. -Used FMC drafting standards based on ASME Y14.5 drafting standards.-Worked with DVA, SDS, SAS and PMC groups on various projects.-During this time received retention bonus for two years as incentive to stay with FMC.

-Work with Manifold sales group and engineers to design, from P&ID’s and sketches, Manifold Systems proposals in 2D AutoCad based on FMC high pressure valve product line.-Detail Manifold System projects in 2D AutoCad (piping details, skid details and bills of material).-Designed compact manifolds with FMC compact valve product line to offer superior savings in size and weight for TLP’s, FPSOs, Semi-Submersible and other Platforms.-Visit various fab yards to visually inspect manifold construction and prepare as-built drawings. -Work with Pump sales group and engineers to design Pump Systems for proposal purposes.-Detail Pump system projects in 2D AutoCad (pump details, skid details and bills of material).-Worked on New Ball Valve Product Line with R&D group using 3D Unigraphics (NX).-Generate in TeamCenter Engineering Change Notifications for product release and maintenance.-On administrative side, for several years, I maintained Request for Engineering Log and Monthly Engineering Time Log for Engineering Manager, from ‘98-’02. -As a group Fluid Control was always profitable and a net contributor to FMC. During these years Fluid Control often exceeded sales goals several times causing them to modify goals several times during year.
