Awarded the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (H2020-MSCA-IF) by the European Commission to fund my research project: “Practice-Oriented Security Models and Granular Designs for Future-Proof Authenticated Encryption (POMEGRANATE)". The research was hosted by Prof. Bart Preneel at the Computer Security and Industrial Cryptography (COSIC) group of KU Leuven. The ForkCipher/ForkAES design projects that I initiated using this fund later resulted in design of the ForkAE authenticated encryption algorithm in collaboration with several other researchers (ForkAE was a 2nd Round NIST candidate for lightweight cryptography).
