I am a recent graduate of a BSc with Specialization in Computer Science (Data Science Option) at the University of Ottawa. Over the past four years, I have applied and tested my skills daily, both in programming and in life. I like to challenge myself to learn more and expand my skills with each thing I do. I am very interested in applying my knowledge in computer science to simplifying and researching tasks we perform everyday. During the past year, my focus has been on bioinformatics, secure systems, artificial intelligence and GIS. I have also been a strong member of the student community for the passed 2 years as an executive on the Computer Science Student Association first as VP Internal, then VP Philanthropy and currently the VP Social. I am also volunteering as the co organizer of events hosted at the Microsoft office in Ottawa for the Ottawa IT Community. I have had two internships when there was breaks between semesters of school that advanced my skills and knowledge in computer science and a working environment. The first internship I had was at Invatron Systems Corporation, a software company that develops applications for the fresh item management of grocery chain internationally. Here I performed tasks on the technical support team as well as the quality assurance team. My most recent internship was in the summer of 2018 at Export Development Canada. There I automated tests for the projects that were in development and to be deployed in the near future. I performed baseline testing for many applications, following the project from the planning and creation of test cases through to automating the tests I made. After I graduated I decided to spend my summer tree planting instead of looking for a job in my field immediately. I feel that this was a vital step for me in my learning process to discover my passion for environment and think of ways technology can be incorporated. I also have always been interest in medical technology and technical theatre, both are areas I focused on in my university studies.I look forward to any opportunities that come my way and I would like thank anyone who takes the time to reach out.
