- Automotive Component Manufacturer- During my last semester of studying I worked at MSSL RSA. - The company produce the injection molded parts parts to Automotive Industry.- The first project was to improve the Paint shop of the plant where the bumpers are painted. With the use of Simulation software a simulation was written. With the use of this software we managed to increase the bumpers per hour by 30%- Development of an Incubation Center to serve a higher demand starting in 2018 from customer. The project range from space calculations, layout improvement, as well as workstation design.- Designed a RFID system to keep track of stock levels in the Finished Goods store.

Final Year Project - Production Scheduling- I have developed a production scheduling model using Heuristic Methods combined with Random Search Techniques. - For my Final year project, I developed a model using programming software that schedules the company’s work for them in less than 20 seconds which usually takes up to 5 hours. This model takes setups times as well as due dates in consideration when work is scheduled for production. The project has been sent for Academic Publication as well.- Also during my final year, I did extra consultation work for the company on their plant based in Cape Town. - I worked with Roland Röhrs (Chairman of Wispeco). - Successful introduction a new shift system that allowed for 20% more production time (Using hot seat change overs) but at 40% less cost (energy, overtime etc.). - Other solution such as improved change overs, layout improvement etc were implemented to increase overall plant efficiency.

- Cost Analysis- Feasibility Study- The project was to determine whether they need to keep a powder coating machine applying a wood look finish machine or to sell the asset and outsource that area of production. - During this project I learned what factors to keep in mind when doing a feasibility study.

- Work and Method Study. - Time Studies.- Process Improvement.- Improved efficiency of a powder coating line.- Redesigned the current conveyor line to ensure a higher efficiency.- New conveyor allowed the line to never stop, Material is jigged offline and then loaded on the conveyor.

- Redefined and documented the business’s process to help optimize the project management services.- Function modelling of business processes.- Created project charter, project management plan and Stakeholder register templates.- Wrote a Quality Assurance Manual for the company.- Also helped Project Managers with projects due to that time.
