    Essentialneed.Org Sep 2015 - Present
    Sydney, Australia
About EssentialNeed.org▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬EssentialNeed.org (EN) is a non-profit organisation registered in Australia, dedicated ending extreme poverty. EN's Mission 2030 is to help achieve access to safe drinking water for every community by 2030 known as UN Sustainable Development Goal, Target 6.1 (UN SDG 6.1).Our Approach▬▬▬▬▬▬▬1- Essential Need Care Network enables you to add your Voice in support on SDG 6.1. I'd be delighted to see you join my SDG 6.1 Network: https://www.essentialneed.org/rez Currently more than 30,000 people and businesses have joined: https://www.essentialneed.org/voices-and-countries2- Every country has signed up to the SDG 6.1, but there is no system or organisation that centralises the activities. Essential Need has built a system that can map the clean water status of every community worldwide. We have named this initiative 'Target 6.1 Map'. Essential Need is now making this solution available to every NGO and Government: https://target6.1map.management/3- Essential Need provides opportunities for businesses to become conscious businesses. Here are the thousands that have joined us already: https://www.essentialneed.org/conscious-businesses4- Essential Need communicates with key political and community leaders of developed countries, ensuring they are aware of SDG 6.1. Essential Need leverages the power of our Care Networks to influence funding approvals for achieving our aims. More information is available at https://www.essentialneed.org/government-officials5- Essential Need funds and works collaboratively with the water projects of other NGOs. We learn their processes, and contribute to their efforts by offering to improving their systems with the most up-to-date technologies. An example is the innovated Sustainable Water Kiosk in Nigeria: https://target6.1map.management/swk.html?ProjectID=NG-OY-13536- Essential Need runs programs in High Schools (year 8 to 12) educating our kids about SDG 6.1
  • Fairaction International
    Globaliser
Fairaction International Aug 2017 - Present
    Nigeria
In collaboration with other charities, government departments and professional organisations both charities, FairAction International and Essential Need Projects have operated in Australia and Nigeria to innovate sustainable solution to the water issue affecting millions of people. A major initiative designed and developed by these charities has been Target 6.1 Map, a centralised and transparent management system which records and tracks sustainability and functionality of water supply facilities throughout Nigeria. Another major innovation has been introduction of Sustainability Rating for water projects such as this one https://target6.1map.management/swk.html?ProjectID=NG-OY-1353 - this rating system shows the funding gaps for maintenance costs which is the main cause of water project failure around the world. My role is to contribute to the successes of the above models and introduce them to every developing country that would benefit from them.

    Sydney, Australia
Founded Essential Mall in 2006, an e-commerce platform with more than 40,000 products. Automated the platform and operated in 8 countries, by 2010 it reached millions of dollars of revenue per annum. In 2014 it was converted to an online shopping site with social responsibility at its core. EM contributed its net profits towards ending extreme water poverty. Each product came with a social impact footprint. For each purchases the customer could see their impact created and track it on EssentialNeed.org. In 2016 the hard decision was made to put EM on the shelf and focus full-time on ending extreme water poverty. One day EM may start again as a fundraising machine for contributing towards ending global extreme poverty.

  • Happy Purpose
    Founder
    Happy Purpose Oct 2011 - Apr 2013
    London, United Kingdom
What is the purpose of life? Why are we here? Why was I born? These 3 fundamental questions have puzzled me from an early age. Through my spiritual journey, I have come to understand best state of being, is the state of fulfilment. Fulfilment can be simplified to Wisdom + Action. Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/happypurpose.org was created, and followers grew to more than 200,000 people. It is designed in a way that if you spend 2 minutes a day on there, read 2 quotes, and observe nature's beauty in the photos, after 21 days you will be happier than before you started this journey. HappyPurpose was put on hold despite the gaining popularity. The reason was I could not be truely happy when I knew there are people dying due to lack of basic needs. My search and transition started to see how I can help secure the most basic need in life for all, that is, access to clean water.
  • Perfumestation.Com.Au
    Founder
    Perfumestation.Com.Au Feb 2003 - Oct 2006
    Online Store
Being inspired by opportunities in e-commerce, and having learnt ebay effectively, I started an online store called PerfumeStation.com.au, which sold perfumes. Perfumes were strategically chosen due to their brand strengths, size, value, delivery cost and having least number of warranty claims. Needing warehousing for the perfumes, I opened a retail store in Surry Hills, Sydney. After 1.5 years I concluded I'm neither interested in running a retail store nor am I interested in warehousing.PerfumeStation.com.au was re-branded to Essential Mall in Oct 2006. Warehousing stopped and products were now being posted directly from vendors to customers.

  • Australian Army
    Reserve
    Australian Army Jan 2000 - Feb 2000
1St/19Th Battalion, The Royal New South Wales Regiment
I decided to join the Army Reserve due to my love for Australia, and learning how to perform in an extremely high stressful environment. It was tough and physically challenging, very disciplinary and highly routined. Even though short lived due to injury, I shall never forget this experience! Though I must mention I oppose war and think violence should not be an option to a resolution especially with the current available technology.
