Data Governance/Steward Analyst

- Develop and execute data governance policies, standards, and procedures.- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, encompassing the definition of data standards, data quality rules, classification, and privacy protocols.- Perform data attestation, audits, and assessments.- Deploy data catalog, data discovery, and end-to-end data lineage utilizing Alation.- Manage and uphold the Alation platform, encompassing data governance, discovery, and cataloging.- Conduct data quality assessments and identify areas necessitating improvement.- Lead end-user training sessions on data governance best practices and Alation platform utilization.- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data owners, data stewards, IT teams, and business units, to gather requirements, address concerns, and foster consensus on data governance initiatives.- Design and deliver educational sessions and awareness programs to educate employees on data governance principles, best practices, and their roles and responsibilities.- Oversee the complete data lifecycle, comprising data capture, storage, retention, archiving, and disposal, while ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.- Engage in partnerships and collaborate with stakeholders in external data exchange procedures, as well as assess and resolve data exchange issues.- Embrace continuous learning and advancement in data strategy, governance, and management
