About Reza Anugrah

Reza Anugrah (Eca) is a passionate advocate for gender equality and social inclusion, he dedicated his career to creating fairer, more inclusive communities where every individual's rights are recognized and upheld in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. With over 5 years of experience in community development and project management, his dedication has had an impact on improving the welfare, protection, knowledge and skills related to child protection, youth engagement, education, gender equality, women's empowerment, social entrepreneurship and leadership for more than 5.000 children and youth, 1.000 Women, 300 people with disabilities who experience the adverse effects of gender inequality and discriminatory behavior against them. His advocacy is recognized from the grassroots to the international level as evidenced by her selection as a delegate of Indonesian young people at the International Conference of Population and Development (ICPD 30) Global Youth Dialogue 2024 organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Benin, West Africa, where this forum brings together young people from 180 countries to discuss the involvement of young people in responding to population, reproductive health, inclusiveness and sustainable development issues.His advocacy and community development collaborates with many organizations such as the Sikola Mombine Foundation, Indonesian Planned Parenthood Association, Karampuang Foundation, UNFPA Indonesia, UNICEF Indonesia, Save the Children Indonesia, World Vision Indonesia, Swiss Solidarity, ASB Indonesia and the Philippines and Government of Germany. Additionally, his achievements have been featured by several media outlets, including Mercusuar Indonesia, Tutura.id and others.Currently Reza pursuing Master Degree in Gender Studies at University of Indonesia with LPDP Scholarship by Minister of Finance Republic of Indonesia, his academic pursuits are closely aligned with his professional track. His hands-on experience and solid educational foundation inform his advocacy, driving him to challenge the status quo and push for positive change.He worked tirelessly to promote women empowerment, gender equality, and social inclusion. Through this program Reza contributes as Program Officer and responsible for:● Assisted the implementation of welfare improvement programs through socio-economic development of 639 women and 361 people with disabilities in Sigi district.● Assisted women and people with disabilities to have technical and entrepreneurial skills and take on leadership responsibilities in 10 newly established business groups.● Coordinated the establishment of cooperative to supports women's and persons with disabilities enterprises and other small businesses in Sigi district in terms of access to finance and procurement also the supply chains.● Ensure the government programmes "Sigi Masagena" and "BUMDES" take into account the needs and capacities of women and persons with disabilities and thus contribute to inclusive and gender-equitable economic development.
