I am fortunate to have great parents who taught me many valuable lessons, one that stood out all my life is about the value of dedication, endurance, and grit. Throughout my career evolution, I like to think I have always held these principles as a compass to navigate the various work environments I have been in. I completed my degree in Industrial Engineering and immediately started working for an enterprise architecture consulting firm that nurtured my keen interest in the merit of certain structures and functions that help a healthy organisation tick. I then joined a printing company as an improvement engineer that helped foreground my understanding of how to better a business from the inside out - from here, I started gravitating to the use of data to refine my processes and articulate my goals more coherently. Which ultimately led to a position at what is known today as Datalab. From the moment I was onboarded at Datalab I strived for autonomy and a leadership position that would allow me to implement key practices I believe every organisation should adopt to nurture their employees to grow. Needless to say, the same motivation that drove me toward autonomy rewarded me with a leadership position in 2022 - with my being named a shareholder and director of Datalab. At the risk of erring on cheesiness, I believe I am lucky enough to have found my dream job working alongside Pieter and Douglas to take Datalab Solutions from strength to strength. I would not be where I am in my career without the discipline and structure I implement in my own life. When I’m not working, you can find me on the mountain either trail running or hiking. Family time means the world to me and if it weren’t for my daughters and my husband - I would not be the same person I am today. I am inspired by my friends and family who continue to push me to be my best and bolstered by a small and growing team of brilliant individuals. I want to use my position to be a change agent that provides contemporary professional solutions that act as your company’s helping hand to achieve greatness. Our goal is to do away with manual processes, disparate hours-to-output ratios, and the limitations that budget constraints impose - by using simplicity as our solution.
