I love working in the field of hardware development. Recently I have developed antenna and radio systems.I think it is fascinating that in order to be a successful hardware, antenna and radio designer you need to know your way around the RF lab, know how to work with the radio anechoic and EMC chamber, and at the same time have the theory of electromagnetism that you learned at university fresh in mind.Not to mention that antenna development in its essence is cross-functional. It is electromechanics. This means you get the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues with a variety of technical backgrounds.Last but not least is the extensive use of CAE simulations. It is an absolutely necessary tool to use when developing state-of-the-art antenna and radio systems. Simulations are also fascinating in themselves.I have more than 20 years of experience in specifying and developing antenna and radio systems. In that period I have designed antennas for mobile phones with form factors such as monoblocks, folds and slides. Most recently, I have designed ultra-compact antenna and radio system solutions for hearing aids. In this connection, I have integrated front-end modules including PA and LNA.
