I am Chair of Data Gumbo, the internet of things and blockchain smart contract company. I am also a non-executive director at Lucy Group, the electrical switch gear and Oxford family group, and the UK Statistics Authority, the UK Government arms length body that delivers and regulate Government statistics. Trustee of the Sea View Yacht Club and an occasional contributor to The Spectator.I have just completed a double gap year sailing. Prior to this gap year, I was a senior partner of McKinsey based in London, a director of the McKinsey Centre for Government; a director of the McKinsey Global Institute and a convenor of McKinsey's corporate finance practice globally. I have served clients around the world on strategy, organisation, corporate finance and transformation in a variety of industries, ranging from high tech, financial services, posts and retail to petroleum, and utilities. I also focused on transformation in the public sector.I have led research on global economic trends, including government productivity, capital markets, urbanization and infrastructure, natural resources, productivity and growth, the rise of emerging economies, and the economic impact of obesity. I have co-authored two books, No Ordinary Disruption: The Four Global Forces Breaking All the Trends and Value: The Four Cornerstones of Corporate Finance.
