Profile bio

About Robert Cooper

I am the definition of diversity. Yes, I am African American, but that is not what I am talking about. I am a techie, an artist, a preacher, a writer, a martial artist, a photographer, a calligraphist, and father of seven with the woman of my dreams. As you might expect with such a multifaceted life, I am a high energy professional dedicated to success. By success I mean producing a superior work product and positioning all around me – my manager, my colleagues, and my employees – for growth and recognition. Speaking of diversity, my career demonstrates an ability and desire to continuously learn. Take a look at my experience and you will see that I’ve worked at startups and Fortune 50 companies. I’ve worked in the defense industry, as a contractor for the Air Force, and in private industry. My experience began in manufacturing. I then moved into software, virtualization, and now cloud technologies and containers. I’ve managed as many as forty people and have been a senior individual contributor. I’ve managed key relationships internally and have had many customer facing roles. In my varied roles, I have traveled across the contiguous United States and Alaska as well as internationally. What I have enjoyed most about my career is the opportunity to be a key contributor in many different areas of industry without getting pigeon-holed. I am a detailed, idea-man who thrives in fast-paced environments while appreciating the rigor of large companies who are slower-paced out of necessity. You can think of me as a leader who understands technology and can translate that knowledge into strategy, is able to collaborate with customers to increase beneficial product adoption, and can enable customer facing technical staff to complete the customer journey.

Listed skills include Software Development, Program Management, Testing, Pmp, and 44 others.
