About Rita Ferraz De Oliveira
My work takes an ecological approach to investigate how individuals across the lifespan and abilities perceive and act in their environment.I'm a perception-action researcher with considerable international experience. I'm currently Chair of the LSBU Research Ethics and Integrity Committee, School Director of Postgraduate Research, and Secretary General for the European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC).My research focuses on the temporal and spatial aspects of visual information and action and I use multidisciplinary methods to investigate questions with real-world application. Topics of interest include visual gaze, calibration, expertise, multitasking, and physical activity. I lecture on the BSc(Hons) Sport Science degree and the MRes Human Sciences. I have supervised 5 PhD students to completion and currently supervise 3 PhD students and mentor 3 colleagues.
