I've worked in copywriting, public relations and training for over 20 years. The markets we all need to reach for our clients, and the routes for reaching them, are constantly evolving, and that's what keeps the job interesting. My experience includes the public sector, consumer markets and business-to-business - and that, in turn, includes everything from technology industries to professional services. I provide high-level counsel, I run media relations and issues management programmes, and I write. In fact, I write a lot - opinion pieces, marketing collateral, speeches for board members of FTSE 100 businesses, and more.Goals? My main goal is to do a great job for my clients - and if that sounds disingenuous, so be it. It's not as self-effacing as it sounds - because there is no greater buzz in business than knowing you've hit the mark.Specialties? My main specialty is writing. It's what I do best and enjoy most. There's always room for improvement - and that's true of all of us.In PR, I'm used to running programmes that are international, national, regional, or a mix of all three. I've worked for a lot of business clients, but I'm equally at home in the consumer field or the public sector. I've run large programmes, and small ones too. These days, I'm happy also to act as a sanity-check consultant, helping to decide what might work and suggesting new ideas. It all keeps me busy, but don't let that stop you: if you want something done, ask a busy person...
