My role as Group Communications Executive for one of the world’s leading recruitment companies entailed research and marketing/ PR related duties. It was my job to carry out research, through analysing global press and media, official statistics and institution produced papers relating to the main trends affecting the world of work. With the information I produced, the company was able to see in which direction to drive the business. The other side of my job included writing releases for the global intranet, viewed by Hays employees in the many countries the company operates in. In this role I had the opportunity to interact with colleagues across the globe and as a result I was able to utilise my language skills to the full. I was also able to practise, stretch and improve my communication skills on a daily basis in a number of different languages.
